Preschool | ages 2-4
We understand that it’s hard to pick a preschool. It’s hard to pick a preschool because it’s hard to let go. You’ve spent the last several years nurturing, teaching, guiding, and loving your child. You’ve built a firm foundation. You’ve created a safe environment. And you’ve worked tirelessly to provide the best for your child. You simply want a school that works just as hard and cares just as much as you do. Well … at St. John’s, you’ve found it!
The Preschool Process
Understanding Experiences
Curiosity is key when it comes to little learners. We offer them the opportunity to explore the environment around them and connect it to their lives. Through a variety of activities and projects, students enjoy hands-on discovery and self-motivated understanding.
Interpreting Emotions
Feelings are natural, but are sometimes difficult to recognize and manage. We help students identify their emotions and the emotions of their peers to help monitor behavior and recognize social cues for optimal learning, increasing their ability to pay attention, retain information, and build relationships.
Growing Spiritually
Faith is the foundation of our education. Students are taught they have a heavenly Father who loves them so much He sent HiIs Son, Jesus Christ, to pay for their sins. Because of Jesus, they are forgiven and free to live a life of love, service, and gratitude to Him. We are proud to share the love of Jesus each day through words and actions.
The Educational Environment
Our surroundings are designed for optimal learning. Bright and cheerful, our spaces engage students by making them feel safe and comfortable. Our teachers direct--and redirect--in gentle ways that reflect Christian love and respect while enthusiastically offering praise and encouragement every step along the way.
