Academics
At St. John’s, students from preschool through 8th grade receive a well-rounded education that nurtures both mind and spirit. Our academic program combines strong core subjects with hands-on learning, creativity, and critical thinking, all taught from a Christ-centered perspective.
Our Curriculum
We utilize the Lutheran Elementary School Association (LESA) curriculum guidelines, which reflect the Missouri Learning Standards, national standards, and Lutheran school standards. In addition to the core subjects, all students have music, art, and physical education classes. Our preschool curriculum also includes phonics and math as well as religion, music, gym, and art.
Our Resource Room
We understand that not all students learn at the same pace or progress at the same rate. Through a one-on-one approach, our resource room is specifically designed--and staffed--to assist students who may need a little extra attention in certain subject areas in order to understand
the material.
